Face - Spider Angiomas

Spider angioma is an abnormal collection of blood vessels near the surface of the skin, which can develop in adults and children. Increased levels of oestrogen hormones during pregnancy or when taking the contraceptive pill can result in spider angioma.  Patients with liver or thyroid disease are susceptible to this condition too. The name derives from it’s appearance, in the shape of a ‘red spider’
